An apparatus for encrypting and a method for operating the apparatus for encrypting are provided. The apparatus for encrypting comprises an encryption module for carrying out an encryption algorithm. Also, in a third state corresponding to a time duration after the encryption algorithm is carried out, the charge storage unit discharges a charge storage element, which is included inside the charge storage unit, for storing charge. Whereas in the second state, the first charge conveying unit blocks a ground terminal of the encryption module so as not to be connected to the ground terminal of the external power source.
