An encryption apparatus and operating method thereof is provided. The encryption apparatus may include an encryption module to perform an encryption module. In a first state corresponding to a time period before an encryption algorithm is performed, a first charge transfer unit included in the encryption apparatus may receive a charge (or power) supplied by an external power source, and may store the received charge (or power) in a charge storage unit included in the encryption apparatus. In the second state, the first charge transfer unit may disconnect a ground terminal of the encryption module from a ground terminal of the external power source.
