The invention concerns a foundation cage (10) for supports (30) or pillars, in particular for prefabricated buildings. The foundation cage (10) comprises an outer reinforcement (11) formed as a hoop, reinforcement struts (12) disposed, specifically welded or screwed, in the outer reinforcement (11), and a holder (14) disposed, in particular welded, in the foundation cage (10) for the lower end of a support (30) or a pillar. The invention further concerns a foundation for supports or pillars with a foundation cage, as well as a method for forming a foundation for supports (30) or pillars, which involves steps of mounting a foundation cage (10) on a granular subbase, aligning the foundation cage (10), and filling the foundation cage (10) with concrete.
