The invention relates to industrial power engineering. In the cooling tower, the base of the housing is in the shape of an inverted truncated pyramid, the lateral surface of which forms inclined overflows, and air ejectors are mounted on the overflows and are oriented upwards such as to be inclined towards the axis of the housing; furthermore, ejector inlet ports are provided in the planes of the overflows, wind screens extend from the inside edges of the overflows to a water collection basin, and the part of the basin that lies beyond the wind screens is covered with a continuous covering, forming a lower technical area. The invention makes it possible to enhance the cooling capacity of the cooling tower.
