A drilling apparatus (100) includes a drill bit(200), a heating assembly, a cooling assembly, and a digging assembly. The heating assembly is configured to rapidly heat a material to be drilled at a target location. The heating assembly includes one or more first discharge structures(520) configured to discharge a high-temperature substance at the target location of the material. The cooling assembly includes one or more second discharge structures(440) configured to discharge a low-temperature substance at the target location of the material. The digging assembly is configured to remove substrate from the material at the target location.
