The vibratory soil compactor (1) has a superstructure (2) that is equipped with a drive motor (3) and a base (4). A compactor foot (5) is arranged at one end of a compactor plate (6) of the superstructure that is driven through the base by the operation of the drive motor. The compactor foot is equipped with a guide element (11) that is linearly moved on the compactor surface. The cylindrical inner guide portion of the guide element is a telescopic sliding portion. The casting material is made of plastic or plastic composite material or aluminum.
