PURPOSE: Multifunctional complex nanoparitcles and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to secure superior blue color light emitting efficiency and superior monodispersibility and to be used as an electronic material, an optical material, a toner, an ink, and a bio material.;CONSTITUTION: Multifunctional complex nanoparticles include luminescent copolymer nanoparticles and magnetic nanoparticles which are attached to the surface of the luminescent copolymer nanoparticles. A method for manufacturing the complex nanoparticles includes the following: The magnetic nanoparticles are prepared by reacting iron acetylacetonate and a reducing agent. The luminescent copolymer nanoparticles are prepared by mixing 2-naphthyl methacrylate, methacrylic acid, and monomer under a nitrogen atmosphere. Ammonium persulfate is added into the mixture to obtain an emulsion. The emulsion is radical-polymerized to obtain the luminescent copolymer nanoparticles. The magnetic nanoparticles are added to an emulsion containing the luminescent copolymer nanoparticles to attach the magnetic nanoparticles on the surface of the luminescent copolymer nanoparticles. The monomer is selected from styrene, methyl methacrylate, ethylene, propylene, vinyl acetate, and the mixture of the same.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
