AN ENGLISH KEYBOARD FOR GENERAL AND SHORTHAND TYPING

PURPOSE: A stenographic and alphabet keyboard is provided to simultaneously input two or more alphabets. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard top plate comprises a first and a second character key groups(31,32) and a third character key group including vowel keys. If a key is pressed, a key input circuit generates a key signal. An input key mapper outputs signal corresponding one or related characters by receiving two or more simultaneously inputted key signals. If one key signal is inputted among the character key group, the key mapper outputs an alphabet signal corresponding to the inputted key.
