PURPOSE: A mobile device, a traveling direction thereof, and a method for estimating a moving direction and distance are provided to easily find an area in which a mobile device does not move by measuring the traveling direction of the mobile device and a distance between the mobile device and an obstacle.;CONSTITUTION: A mobile device(100) comprises a laser generator(110), a photographing part(120), a first comparison part(131), a second comparison part(132), a traveling direction estimating part(140), and a distance estimating part(150). The laser generator makes a laser be incident in an obstacle. The photographing part takes a photograph of the laser, which is formed on the obstacle, with a camera. The traveling direction estimating part compares each laser photographed in the camera and estimates the traveling direction of the mobile device. The distance estimating part estimates a distance between the mobile device and the obstacle by comparing the laser photographed in the camera with a look up table.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
