PURPOSE: A floating speed obtaining method around a model ship is provided to calculate a floating speed based on a floating analysis method by excluding the drift analysis of a real ship scale. CONSTITUTION: A flow speed of a real ship and a model ship is expressed to viscous component related to a scale and non-viscous component(S1). The floating speed around the model ship is calculated as the non-viscous component(S2). The viscous component is obtained using the non-viscous component and the floating speed(S3). The boundary layer thickness of the model ship and the real ship is acquired using an empirical formula(S4).
