PURPOSE: An air cooling system of an injection mold and a method thereof are provided to reduce the cooling time of an injecting mold and save the heat energy by directly providing the cooling air to the cavity surface of an injecting mold and an extrudate.;CONSTITUTION: An air cooling system of an injection mold comprises a mold opening unit(130), a cooling air feeding unit(140) and a controller(150). When entering the cooling process after an extrusion process, the mold opening unit divides an upper mold(110) from a lower mold(120) at a constant interval. The cooling air feeding unit injects the cooling air to a gap between the opened upper and lower molds through the mold opening unit. When entering the cooling process, the controller supplies the cooling water in the lower mold and supplies the cooling air by controlling the mold opening unit and the cooling air feeding unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
