PURPOSE: A document generation device, a document generation system, a document upload method, and a storage medium are provided to reduce the memory usage which is used in a document upload without giving the load to a client with only a small capacity memory.;CONSTITUTION: A determining unit determines the upload to an external service of a generated document according to the document generating requirement of a client device. If the upload of document is possible, an upload unit uploads the document to the external service. If the upload of document is impossible, a transmitting unit(501) transmits the document and the information for uploading document to the external service form the client device to the client device.
