PURPOSE: A sample analyzing apparatus and a sample analyzing method are provided to shorten a time required for an analyzing process by automatically searching materials contained in a sample based on database.;CONSTITUTION: A sample analyzing apparatus includes a pre-treating module(100), a gas chromatography(200), an analyzing module(300), a database(400), and an outputting module(500). The pre-treating module eliminates materials obstructing the analysis of a sample before the analysis starts. The analyzing module analyzes the materials contained in the sample based on the retention time and the peak value of the sample which are measured in the gas chromatography.
