PURPOSE: A method for forming zinc nanoparticles on cell surface of Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 is provided to use in preparing the zinc nanoparticles. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing zinc nanoparticles on cell surface comprises: a step of culturing Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 in a PBBM medium containing 0.12-0.5 g/l of Zn metal ion to form zinc nanoparticle on the cell surface; and a step of collecting the zinc nanoparticles from the cell surface by centrifugation. The culture is performed under the anaerobic condition at 23-27C.
