PURPOSE: A method of reinforcing the lower stool of a bulk cargo ship is provided to enable easy welding and painting since a vertical reinforcing member supporting a lower stool formed on the lower part of a wave-shaped barrier dividing the cargo hold of a bulk cargo ship is formed in the letter "L" shape.;CONSTITUTION: A method of reinforcing the lower stool of a bulk cargo ship is as follows A plurality of L-shaped vertical reinforcing members(2) are welded to a barrier(4) at regular intervals in a lower stool(1). A T-shaped connecting reinforcing member(3) is inserted and welded to the L-shaped vertical reinforcing member to reinforce the rigidity between the L-shaped vertical reinforcing members.
