PURPOSE: A polyester composition is provided to improve emitting ability and fire retardancy without decreasing inherent viscosity. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a polyester composition containing surface-modified magnesium hydroxide comprises: a step of surface modifying magnesium hydroxide particles by using an anionic, a cationic, and a non-ionic or an amphoteric surfactant; a step of manufacturing PET by inserting alkylester and diol, and stirring in a transesterification reactor; and a step of adding surface-modified magnesium hydroxide particles in the PET, and stirring the mixture in a double-step reactor.
