摘要

PURPOSE: A molecular imaging system of cells is provided to enhance cell survival rate and to enable 100% labeling. CONSTITUTION: A complex for molecular imaging contains biocompatibility polymers having different functional groups at both ends. One end of the polymer is conjugated with iron oxide nanoparticles in which the surface is modified with polymers or polysaccharides. The other end is chemically conjugated with the cell surface. The biocompatible polymers are polyethylene glycol(PEG), alginate, hydrogel, fibrinogen gel, gelatin, chitosan, alginate, or hyaluronic acid. One end of PEG has maleimide group and is conjugated with the nanoparticles. The other end of PEG has a NHS group. The NHS group is chemically conjugated with an amine group of the surface of islet cells.
