PURPOSE: An anti-cancer composition containing Psidium cattleianum Sabine leaf extract is provided to induce apoptosis of cancer cells and to ensure anti-proliferative activity of cancer cells.;CONSTITUTION: An anti-cancer composition contains Psidium cattleianum Sabine leaf extract as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water, anhydrous or hydrous low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, acetone, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, or 1,3-butylene glycol. The composition is a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer or a functional food composition for treating or relieving cancer. The daily dose of the pharmaceutical composition is 0.001-1000 mg/kg(body weight). The pharmaceutical composition is taken by oral or parenteral administration.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
