PURPOSE: An automatic opening and closing system and an automatic opening and closing method for an emergency gate of a train station are provided to automatically close an emergency gate when passengers pass through the emergency gate. CONSTITUTION: An automatic opening and closing system for an emergency gate of a train station comprises an emergency gate(30), an emergency call post(40), and a gate controller(50). The emergency gate is opened and closed between left and right gate frames. The emergency call post is formed in the right gate frame and has an emergency call button(41). When the emergency call button is pressed, the gate controller opens the emergency gate.
