PURPOSE: A method for constructing a Wi-Fi signal fingerprint database and a system thereof are provided to construct a Wi-Fi signal fingerprint database based on the installation information of a Wi-FI module built-in product and signal fingerprint information received from the product, thereby periodically acquiring reliable signal fingerprint information. CONSTITUTION: A Wi-Fi signal fingerprint database(150) stores a Wi-Fi radio map which is mapping signal fingerprint information and location identification information. The signal fingerprint information is received from an electronic device with a Wi-Fi module, and wireless signal strength of an AP measured by the device, and information of the AP. A location information providing server(140) receives signal fingerprint information from the electronic device, which updates a Wi-Fi radio map based on the signal fingerprint information and the installed location information of the device.
