SUBMERGED TARGET DETECTING SYSTEM AND A METHOD THEREOF USING A NAVAL GUN

PURPOSE: A submerged target detecting system and a method thereof are provided to reduce assault by asubmerged target of an enemy since a projectile equipped with a sonobuoy is fired.;CONSTITUTION: An underwater target(30) is detected by the sound waves of a sonobuoy(111) fired through a launcher of a water moving body(20). The sonobuoy comprises a tracking cable(130), a buoy(110), and a transmitting/receiving sensor(120). The buoy and the transmitting/receiving sensor are connected to the tracking cable. The undersea positioned transmitting/receiving sensor emits sound waves to be fixed at a fixed depth at sea, and the sound wave is reflected from a thermocline(B) or the seafloor. The sound wave receiver(22) equipped in the water moving body receives the sound waves. The sound waves bumping into an enemy submarine(30) are reflected and are not received in the sound wave receiver.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
