PURPOSE: A gas detector having an explosion proof construction is provided to prevent flame generated in an electric circuit mounted in inside to be transmitted to outside and to be easily assembled and repaired.;CONSTITUTION: A gas detector having an explosion proof construction comprises a main body(20), a detecting sensor(30), a transmitting/receiving board, a first cable(110), a sealing port, a connection pipe, and a blocking board(70). A hollow is formed in the main body. The detecting sensor is installed to one side of the main body and senses exposed gas. The transmitting/receiving board receives a gas leakage signal which is sensed by the detecting sensor and transmits the gas leakage signal to a monitoring device. The first cable interlinks the detecting sensor and the transmitting/receiving board. The first cable passes through the sealing port. The connection pipe is formed to be projected to outside of the main body as a constant distance.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
