PURPOSE: A biomarker for evaluating the risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is provided to specifically detect the biomarker from blood in case of exposure of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. CONSTITUTION: A biomarker for evaluating risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons contains one or more genes selected among 220 genes or proteins expressed from the gene. The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are benzoaanthracene, benzoapyrene, phenanthrene, or naphthalene. A method for evaluating the risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons comprises: a step of measuring expression or protein level of one or more genes selected from 220 genes from a biological sample which has possibility of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons exposure; and a step of measuring the gene or protein level from a normal sample as a control group and comparing. The biological sample is blood.
