PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of phenylene diamine is provided to obtain phenylene diamine of high purity in short time with high yield, and to improve the efficiency and the profitability of processes.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of phenylene diamine comprises a step of reacting diiodobenzene and ammonia. In the step the molar ratio of amine group, which is substituted to benzene and the ammonia is 1:2 - 1:1000. The ammonia comprises ammonia water, ammonium salt or ammonia gas. The reaction step is progressed under the presence of a copper catalyst. The copper catalyst comprises one or more kinds selected from a group consisting of copper chloride, copper acetate, cupric oxide, and copper powder.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
