A METHOD FOR ENHANCING THE LUTEIN EXTRACTS FROM CHLORELLA USING ULTRAFINE SIZE REDUCTION OF CHLORELLA

PURPOSE: An improving method of the lutein extraction efficiency using the ultra-fine size reduction of chlorella is provided to enable users to effectively extract lutein and other useful components from the chlorella. CONSTITUTION: An improving method of the lutein extraction efficiency using the ultra-fine size reduction of chlorella comprises the following steps: milling a diluted chlorella culture fluid using a wet grinder; drying the obtained ground chlorella to obtain chlorella powder; and extracting lutein from the chlorella powder. The pressure of the wet grinder is 40-120 MPa. The extraction process of the lutein from the chlorella powder includes a step of adding ethanol to the chlorella powder, and a step of processing the mixture with ultrasonic waves.
