PURPOSE: An edible composition containing Lonicera japonica extract is provided to exactly deliver drugs and to improve portability and convenience.;CONSTITUTION: An edible composition for preventing and treating periodontal diseases contains Lonicera japonica extract as an active ingredient. A method for preparing the edible composition comprises: a step of extracting Lonicera japonica using solvent(S100); and a step of preparing the edible composition using active ingredient of the Lonicera japonica extract(S400).
