PURPOSE: An apparatus for turning pages of a book is provided to turn and return pages of books in a compact range by corresponding a maximum escaping position and a re-turning operation starting position.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for turning pages of a book includes a transferring device and upper and lower vacuum pads(10a, 10b), a driving device, a contacting roller part, and a controlling device. The transferring device transfers a book to a page turning position(5) along a transferring path(1). The upper and lower vacuum pads are pressurized and absorbed with the upper side and the lower side of the book. The driving device moves the upper vacuum pad to lift the page of the book as much as a pre-set angle. The controlling roller part enters the lower side of the lifted page. The controlling device releases the absorption of the upper vacuum pad to turn the page.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
