PURPOSE: A terminal information providing method and portable terminal using the same are provided to enable a user to use content between terminals by providing the state information of the terminal between the terminals.;CONSTITUTION: A first terminal searches other terminals(S310). The first terminal determines a second terminal according to the predetermined determination standard of the searched other terminals(S350). The first terminal provides the state information of playback content reproduced by the first terminal to the determined second terminal(S360).
