PURPOSE: A water pumping system using new renewable energy and a controlling method thereof are provided to measure an output power factor and to compare the measured output power factor and non-load operation reference output power factor saved in advance, thereby deciding whether or not a water pumping device is non-load operated.;CONSTITUTION: A water pumping system using new renewable energy comprises a new renewable energy power source device(100), a power converting unit(200), a switching unit(300), an non-load rotation determination unit(500), and a control unit(600). The new renewable energy power source device generates power by using a new renewable energy power source. The power converting unit converts the power generated by the new renewable energy power source device into a proper power source for operating a pumping device(800). The switching unit supplies or secludes the power output from the power converting unit to the pumping device. The non-load rotation determination unit determines whether or not the pumping device is non-load operates. The controlling unit controls an operation of the power converting unit and switching unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
