PURPOSE: A wireless network access method based on service provider identification information and portable terminal using the same are provided to enable a user to successively access a wireless network based on service provider identification information.;CONSTITUTION: A storage module(140) stores a first service provider identification information. A WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) transmission and reception module(120) receives access information including second service provider identification information from an access point(200) of a narrow band wireless network. An extraction module(130) extracts the second service provider identification information from the received access information.
