PURPOSE: A system having optic fiber purity sensors is provided to sense a gas purity of a flow of gas coolant passing through a coolant path by a plurality of optic fiber purity sensors.;CONSTITUTION: A system having optic fiber purity sensors comprises a generator(12) and one or more optic fiber purity sensors(34). The generator comprises a stator, a rotor, and a gas coolant path(18). The one or more optic fiber purity sensors detect a gas purity of a flow of gas coolant(52). The one or more optic fiber purity sensors comprise a fiber core, a lattice structure in which a refractive index is modulated, a fiber cladding, and a multi-layers sensing film. The lattice structure is arranged around the fiber core. The fiber cladding is arranged around the lattice structure. The multi-layers sensing film comprises a modulated structure of multi-layers of high refractive index and low refractive index.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
