FRACTIONAL FREQUENCY REUSE METHOD IN MULTICELL DOWNLINK OFDMA SYSTEMS

PURPOSE: A method for reusing a fractional frequency in a multi-cell downlink OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Multiple Access) system is provided to ensure the QOS(Quality Of Service) of each terminal by using an optimization method based on a blocking probability value. CONSTITUTION: Blocking probability is calculated based on statistical channel characteristic information transmitted from a base station in a plurality of terminals(S101, S103). The necessary number of sub-carriers is calculated based on the blocking probability calculated(S105, S107). The base station receives the feedback of the calculated number of the sub-carriers(S109). The base station allocates the sub carriers to each terminal for ensuring the quality of service of each terminal based on the number of the sub-carriers received from the plurality of terminals(S203).
