ELECTRONIC CASTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF SILICONE INGOT TO PREVENT CRACK OR SPLIT WHEN CUTTING INGOT

PURPOSE: An electronic casting device and method of silicone ingot are provided to restrict temperature nonuniformity on the surface of ingot within 10°C because the outputs of two or more pairs of heaters are individually controlled.;CONSTITUTION: An electronic casting device of silicone ingot comprises a cooling mold(2), an induction coil(1), and an after heater(4). A portion of a cooling mold in an axial direction is split in a circumferential direction. The induction coil surrounds the mold. The after heater is arranged under the mold and slowly cools solidified silicon ingot(5). The electronic casting device drops the silicon, which is melted by electromagnetic induction heating of the induction coil, to be solidified. The ingot having a square section is slowly cooled, and the outputs of the pair of after heaters located opposite to each other on two sides of the ingot are individually controlled.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
