PURPOSE: An ultra-hydrophobic surface and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to simply manufacture a large sized ultra-hydrophobic surface based on one irradiation of ultraviolet ray. CONSTITUTION: A mask(2) is arranged to be spaced a part from photoresist(4) on a substrate. Ultraviolet ray(1) is irradiated to the mask. When the irradiated ultraviolet ray transmits the mask, the ultraviolet ray straightly passes and disperses to expose the photoresist. The exposed photoresist is developed to form nail head shaped micro patterns. The substrate is selected from a substrate for the surface of vehicles, aircrafts, and vessels. A distance between the photoresist and the mask is between 100um and 1mm.
