APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR TOWING A SHIP USING MIDDLE LINKS INSTALLED IN A HULL

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for towing a ship using middle links are provided to minimize towing force requiring for towing a ship by extending wires passing through middle links toward towing boats in a horizontal direction or almost horizontal direction.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for towing a ship using middle links comprises winches(11,21), wires(30), and middle links(100). The winches are installed in at least one of a target towing ship and towing boats. The wires are coupled to the winches. The middle links are arranged in an outer hull plate of the target towing ship in order to minimize towing force according as the wires are passed through.
