PURPOSE: A portable terminal and display control method thereof are provided to display images to a direction optimized to users by grasping the direction and numbers for the users around a terminal.;CONSTITUTION: In case one or more users exist around a terminal, a user determination module(116) determines a direction of one or more users for the terminal. The user determination module determines the numbers of the users corresponding to the determined directions. A control unit(180) determines the direction related to maximum numbers of the users.
