PURPOSE: A settop box control system, a user terminal, and a settop box control method are provided to enable an IPTV service user to freely control a settop box by a touch on a touch screen of a user terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal requests a control right of a settop box to a settop box control system(S210). The user terminal receives control screen information for supporting control of the settop box from the settop box control system(S220). The user terminal outputs a control screen on a touch screen based on the control screen information(S230). The user terminal transmits input information to the settop box control system wherein the input information is generated by a touch on the touch screen(S240).
