PURPOSE: A nanostructured biopolymeric planar waveguide Bragg grating biosensor is provided to induce ultrahydrophobicity and to improve sensitivity of a sensor.;CONSTITUTION: A nanostructured biopolymeric planar waveguide Bragg grating biosensor comprises: a cladding layer formed to have planar waveguide on a substrate; a core layer having Bragg gratings formed during different period to simultaneously detect biomaterials with different planar waveguide; and a nano protrusion structure formed on the Bragg gratings of the core layer. The nano protrusion structure induces ultrahydrophobicity in sensing the biomaterials and enhances surface area contacting a target material of the biomaterials.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
