PURPOSE: A stored-energy spring mechanism and a high-voltage circuit breaker are provided to apply uniform power to a pressure piston by using spring energy stored in a spring. CONSTITUTION: A stored-energy spring mechanism comprises a spring device(3) and a piston(8) of a pressure cylinder(16). The spring device and the piston are coupled to each other through a gear mechanism(1) having a variable transmission ratio. The variable transmission ratio is varied depending on the displacement of the spring device and/or the piston. The piston is moved inside the pressure cylinder in a direction corresponding to the displacement direction of the spring device.
