THE DESIGN OF OBLIQUE SHAPED SLIT OF THE SIDE WEB FRAME WHICH THE SIDE LONGITUDINAL STIFFENERS PASS THROUGH IN VIEW OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF FATIGUE LIFE FOR THE SHIP

PURPOSE: A slit for passing a side web frame longi of a ship for improving fatigue life is provided to increase fatigue life of a slit and to abbreviate concentration of stress applied to the edge of the slit by changing radius of the existing slit. CONSTITUTION: In a slit for passing a side web frame longi of a ship for improving fatigue life, the radius of an upper right edge and a lower left edge of the slit is equally R1. The radius of an upper left edge and a lower right edge of the slit is equally R2. Left and right sides of the center part of the slit are separated from a longi flange as much as R3. For the R2, relations of R2 R1, R1 = 50mm, R2 = 75mm are accomplished.
