HARD DISK SLIDER HEAD USING THERMAL EXPANSION AND A HARD DISK SLIDER FLOATING METHOD USING THE SAME CAPABLE OF SMOOTHLY INFLOWING AIR TO AN ABS(AIR BEARING SURFACE) AND REDUCING FRICTIONAL FORCE BETWEEN A SLIDER AND A MEDIA
PURPOSE: A hard disk slider head using thermal expansion and a hard disk slider floating method using the same are provided to reduce floating height of the slider by forming heaters under ABS instead of PDLC(Pads with Diamond Like Carbon).;CONSTITUTION: The flotation of a slider is smoothly operated from a landing zone in a CSS(Contact Start-Stop) type. Heaters are formed in ABS instead of PDLC in order to reduce floating height of the slider. The heaters perform thermal expansion when the slider is floated. A protruded structure performing the role of the PDLC is formed in the ABS of a hard disk slider.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
