PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for generating a personal sound zone are provided to reduce the number of transducers in a thickness direction by generating sound beams in a vertical direction to an array arrangement direction.;CONSTITUTION: An array part(110) includes two or more arrays arranged in a direction where sound beams are formed. Three or more transducers respectively included in two or more arrays are arranged to be vertical to the direction where the sound beams are formed. A control signal generating part(130) generates a control signal for two or more arrays in order to form the sound beams in the vertical direction to the arrangement direction of three or more transducers. Transducers located in the middle of the three or more transducers included in two or more arrays are located in the same central axis.
