PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for supporting handover for a mobile station in a wireless communication network is provided to continuously offering service while minimizing the change of the existing terminal when the terminal supports handover.;CONSTITUTION: A terminal(200) transmits a first scan request message to a serving BS(Base Station)(230). The terminal receives information message which includes system information of one or more adjacent BS(Base Stations)(140) using different frequency band resources in a unicast type.
