PURPOSE: A digital video contents providing system for preventing an illegal copy/ circulation and a method thereof are provided to disclose a partial file of illegal contents, thereby supplying a promotion effect of a spoiler type.;CONSTITUTION: A contents dividing unit(110) divides digital video contents into fixed units. A contents storage unit(130) stores an original copy of the digital video contents and files divided on the contents dividing unit. If a request of the digital video contents is received from a playback terminal device, a transmission control unit(120) transmits the digital moving picture contents divided on the contents dividing unit to the playback terminal device. The contents dividing unit includes a group unit divider, which divides the digital video contents into a group of the fixed unit, and a detail unit divider, which minutely divides each group divided by the group dividing unit into minute units.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
