PURPOSE: An alumina carried bimetallic catalyst and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to smoothly spread reactants and reaction heat by using alumina with continuously distributed pore sizes in macro-pores, meso-pores, and micro-pores. CONSTITUTION: Raw alumina material is prepared by rapidly plasticizing aluminum hydroxide(S10). The rapid plasticizing process is implemented at a temperature between 500 and 800 degrees Celsius for 3 to 7 seconds. Porous alumina of macro-meso-micro porosity is prepared by molding and drying paste which is formed by mixing the raw alumina material, filler, and water(S12). A basic solution is in contact with the porous alumina. The basic solution is removed from the porous alumina, and the porous alumina is plasticized(S14). Platinum and cobalt are immersed in the plasticized porous alumina(S16).
