PURPOSE: A three-dimensional helicopter posture simulator for testing aircraft survivability equipment and a method thereof are provided to test the performance of aircraft survivability equipment by simulating indoor or outdoor helicopter flight environments, thereby reducing time and costs.;CONSTITUTION: A three-dimensional helicopter posture simulator for testing aircraft survivability equipment comprises an aircraft survivability equipment mounting part(110), a motion driving part(120), a motion control part(130), a threat encounter simulation part(140), and a helicopter simulation software part(150). The motion driving part simulates helicopter postures when a helicopter starts an engine by respectively driving motors of a roll shaft, a pitch shaft, or a yaw shaft in a state where the aircraft survivability equipment mounting part is loaded on the upper part thereof. The motion control part controls the simulation operation of the motion driving part and receives the angle information of the roll shaft, the pitch shaft, or the yaw shaft. The threat encounter simulation part receives and analyzes the threat information from the mounted aircraft survivability equipment to simulate how to act chaff/flare corresponding to multiple threats. The helicopter simulation software part displays the helicopter starting states according to the helicopter postures driven by the motion driving part, the threat information and the chaff/flare action with three-dimensional graphic type.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
