PURPOSE: An air conditioner and an operation method thereof using the evaporation of water are provided to increase the efficiency of the air conditioner while removing humidity though using the evaporation of water and reduce energy consumption.;CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning method using the evaporation of water is as follows. One side of an evaporator is contacted with the water and the other side is contacted with indoor air. In dry weather, the side contacted with indoor air is directly cooled with the air blown by a blowing fan. The generated air and vapor is exhausted into indoor space by a suction fan and the high temperature outside air is heat exchanged by the exhausted low temperature air.
