PURPOSE: A group based MTC(Machine Type Communication) controlling method and an apparatus thereof in a mobile communication system are provided to control the maximum value of a bit rate in an MTC group by determining the maximum bit rate of each MTC device according to the number of MTC devices.;CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(510) supplies entities of a mobile communication system and a connection interface. A controlling unit(530) receives a connection request message from an MTC device. The controlling unit transmits the connection request message to an HSS(Home Subscriber Server). The controlling unit receives APN-AMBR(Access Point Name-Aggregation Maximum Bit Rate) from the HSS. The controlling unit transmits the entities to the mobile communication system.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
