METHOD FOR MEASURING THE FATIGUE DURABILITY OF A TIRE SIDE WALL CRACK BY SETTING A STRESS ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITION OF AN ENDURANCE DRIVING DRUM TESTER

PURPOSE: A method for measuring the fatigue durability of a tire side wall crack is provided to inspect under the same environmental condition and to confirm the fatigue durability of a side wall crack in short time in comparison with field confirming time without additional facilities.;CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the fatigue durability of a tire side wall crack is as follows. A tire(14) is assembled in a wheel(12). Pneumatic pressure injected into the tire is changed into the pneumatic pressure used in a field and the tire is mounted in a driving drum tester(100). A testing room maintains evaluation temperature to set a testing condition. The driving drum tester is driven after setting a driving speed, an allowable load, and driving time on the driving drum tester where the tire is mounted. The tire periodically stopped according to the set testing condition and a surface exterior inspection of a tire side wall is performed. If cracks on the side wall of the tire are not generated, the driving drum tester is driven again.
