PURPOSE: A method for executing a control service and an additional service of a TV using mobile smart devices and a system thereof are provided to control a channel of the TV by using the mobile smart devices which an application performing a remote control function is installed, thereby replacing the remote control function of the TV.;CONSTITUTION: A mobile smart device(100) executes an application performing a remote control function which is controlling a TV. An additional service server(300) receives location information by approving use of the location information of a watching area of the TV which is caused by execution of the application. A broadcast service server(200) transmits information of broadcasters serviced in the watching area and channel information based on the location information to the mobile smart device.
